Dr de Viana is complemented by a Breast Physician, Breast Clinicians, Qualified Breast Care Nurse, Registered Nurse and Administration personnel.
Our multidisciplinary approach to care also involves close contact with Radiology, Oncology, Physiotherapy, Counselling and genetic services.
Dr Susan Taylor - Breast Physician
A graduate from the University of Queensland Medical School, Dr Taylor started her medical career in Brisbane, working in General Practice as part of the Family Medicine Program. She quickly realised that her main area of interest was women's health, resulting in several years of experience predominantly involved with Female Reproductive Medicine.
She further subspecialised in breast disease with experience at The Wesley Breast Clinic, Brisbane. This position provided extensive experience in screening, diagnostic and procedural clinics, culminating in Dr Taylor being awarded a founding Fellowship of The Australasian Society of Breast Physicians in 1995.
Apart from her position with BreastCare, Dr Taylor continues to work with The Wesley Breast Clinic, and also has an appointment with Breastscreen Queensland.

Dr Catherine ( Kate ) Johnston - Breast Clinician
Dr Johnston graduated from the University of Queensland with honours in 1994, and obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1999.
Kate has practised in local general practices, and has held a clinical position at Breastscreen Queensland ( Gold Coast branches ). Her experience lead to an interest in women's health, with particular focus on the management of women with breast cancer. She also works an Assistant Surgeon to Dr de Viana.
In addition to her position at BreastCare, Dr Johnston is the National Prescribing Service facilitator for the Gold Coast, and General Practice Liason Officer for General Practice Gold Coast and Gold Coast Health Service District.
Dr Leisha Hay - Breast Clinician
Dr Hay graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988, and holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
She has worked as a General Practitioner in North Queensland , Brisbane and the Gold Coast and during her career has fostered a special interest in women's health. Apart from her postion with BreastCare , Dr Hay works as an Assistant Surgeon.
